Harvard Medical School study says that there is a strong relationship between fertility and diet, which means that you don’t need to go through medication, because by eating the right food, your ovulation function can be improved. So, “what should I eat when I want to get pregnant?” Here are some of the foods that may contribute to fertility.

Compound Carbohydrates

Simply put, compound carbohydrates are starchy foods that is broken down slowly after consumption. The most common food sources are whole grains (such as barley, oats), fruits, legumes (such as red beans, mung beans), root vegetables (pumpkin, carrots), and other fiber-rich foods. As the body needs to digest slowly, changes in blood glucose and insulin may be slower. Intake more complex carbohydrates, eat less carbohydrates that are easily decomposed and absorbed by the body, such as biscuits, white bread, cakes, etc., as these foods are quickly converted into blood sugar in the body, the pancreas will need more insulin to be produced into the blood, reducing blood glucose levels at peak levels. Unsaturated fats

Fish such as salmon, trout, sardines, almonds, walnuts and macadamia nuts are good source for unsaturated fats. Take more healthy unsaturated fats and try to avoid trans fats such as baked foods, snacks, fries or animal oils. They are rich in trans fats, which increase insulin resistance. Insulin transports glucose from the blood to the cell, and if the insulin impedance is increased, glucose cannot be delivered smoothly to the cell, so the pancreas must continuously secrete insulin and the insulin in the blood is elevated. This process can cause metabolic disorders and affect ovulation.

Caffeine

According to Harvard Medical School studies, drinking 1 to 2 cups of coffee or tea a day does not affect ovulation or fertility, but it is recommended that daily caffeine intake be controlled below 200 mg.

Multivitamin

In an eight-year study, it was found that women who received 400 micrograms of Folic acid a day, compared to women who had virtually no multivitamin intake, had 40% less chance of ovulation infertility. So, if you want to get pregnant, pregnancy planning is important as you can take the appropriate amount of Multivitamin and food regularly.
